I was whining about it to my BFF, Carol. Her solution was simple: drink.more.water.

Sounds easy but I find water incredibly boring to drink. That is, until I discovered it directly affects my productivity.

It turns out water makes your brain run more efficiently. When your brain is operating at peak performance, you get more accomplished. When you become dehydrated your brain tissue actually decreases leaving you feeling sluggish.

So in my quest to simplify water consumption, I came up with three drinks you can include in your day to help you stay energized and hydrated. [Read more…]

3 ways to automate your business right now

clock and gearsI recently asked a group of entrepreneurs and small business owners to imagine they had a magic wand that would grant them one wish to solve their most pressing challenge in running their business.

pile of receiptsI’m still on that post conference high. I’m motivated, invigorated and full of great ideas to take my business to the next level. I can’t wait to get started. Oh, but wait, there’s all those pesky business cards and receipts I collected. I have to get those out of the way first. Then there are those great handouts. I need to do something with those too. Argh. So I guess I will have to wait to get started. I can feel the euphoria leaving my body.
