The real reason you’re not getting your work done

Do you get to the end of your workday and are satisfied with all you’ve accomplished? If you’re like most busy business owners, the answer is likely No (at least most of the time).

You might find that you’re constantly putting out fires, being interrupted by your team or your clients, or spending way too much time in your inbox.

While it’s easy to place the blame on external factors that are pulling you away from your work, there is another way to look at it.

In this video, I’ll share with you the real culprit that is putting a damper on your productivity.

Once you’ve reframed the challenge, you’ll be able to address it and your efficiency will SOAR.

Most people don’t do this in their business

As a kid, my mother taught me to say “thank you” whenever someone did something nice for me. It could be as simple as having a door held open, or as personal as receiving a gift.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my mom recently. She passed away several years ago, and all the wonderful lessons I learned from her still resonate with me. The most important is showing gratitude.

This got me thinking about you, and how you give thanks to those who support you and your business.

With the hectic pace of running your business, having time to reflect rarely happens, yet it is essential to your overall state of mind and directly influences the people around you.

When you take time to give thanks, people notice and good things start to happen in mysterious ways. Plus, it makes you feel good inside.

So how do you create gratitude systems to ensure appreciation becomes a habit and a natural extension of your daily routine?

Watch this video where I share 3 things you can start doing right now, to show gratitude in your business.

What to do when your business gets off track

Imagine waking up to find your business has become your worst enemy.

Somehow it has become unrecognizable to you. The vision you had when you first started up has blurred and somehow things have gotten out of your control.

On the outside, it looks like it’s smooth sailing. Business has never been busier, heck you even have a waiting list! What could be wrong?

The thing is … it wasn’t what you ever wanted.

I recently had a conversation with a very busy business owner, who broke down in tears because she was falling out of love with the business she created. She was ready to give up everything because …

The business she had was not the business she ever wanted.

In this video I share three questions to ask yourself … no matter what stage of the business lifecycle you’re in … that will put you back on course.

The must-have system in your business

If you only have one system in your business, this one is it!

Your signature system is your proprietary, step-by-step process that you take your clients through to get them from their current state to their desired state. It’s how you solve their problems and relieve their pain-points.

It is the most important system you have in your business. Consider it the powerhouse among all of your systems. What makes it unique is that it has two faces. One face is directed at your client, showing them exactly how you work, which builds confidence and trust. The other face is directed at your team, showing them the steps involved for working with clients, which builds consistency and efficiency.

Your signature system may currently reside in your head. If you were to tell me that you intuitively know each step of your process, I would say to you, it’s time for a data download. If your signature system stays in your head, three things will happen:

  1. Delegating will be painful or impossible.
  2. You will be the bottleneck in your business.
  3. Your business will plateau.

None of these are scenarios that I want for you. Watch this video where I take you through three simple steps to design your signature system.

Why it’s okay to have a messy business

Has your business ever felt so messy you wanted to hide from it? Literally. The shut the laptop and run for cover kind of hiding.

You are not alone. I’ve been there, my clients have been there and practically every business owner I’ve meet has been there.

Face it, business can get messy, even at the best of times. Actually, especially at the best of times because that’s when your business is so busy, you can’t get to the back-end operational details that keep things running smoothly.

The truth is, things have to get messy before they can get organized. Messy is a rite of passage to a better way of operating.

It should feel somewhat uncomfortable and bumpy along the road. That is totally okay and to be expected.

In this video I give you permission to embrace the disorganization that your business may be experiencing at this very moment.

How to welcome clients into your business

How do you welcome clients into your business?

The reason I ask is because this came up recently when I was working with a client to design and systematize her client onboarding process. She asked me a very interesting question, which I’ll share with you in this video.

The way you make your clients feel is so important to running your business.

Your new clients want confirmation they have made the right choice in selecting you to help solve their problem. Your Client Onboarding process does just that.

It’s an important part of the client experience with you, your company and your brand. It’s your way of greeting new clients, showing them around and making them feel comfortable in your business.

Here are some tips to help you make your clients feel welcome:

My secret to creating an Operations Playbook

When you think of having standard operating procedures in your business, do you think of a dusty binder sitting on a shelf that nobody looks at? Or perhaps you know it’s something your business needs, but have no idea how to start, so you procrastinate and continue to keep all the operational details stuck in your head.

Let’s change that for you and for your business.

It doesn’t have to be an overwhelming project and you don’t have to be the one to put it together. I have a long list of clients who came to me for that very reason. I find systems sexy and fun … they don’t.

The important part is to get the processes out of your head so you are no longer the bottleneck in your business. Imagine not being interrupted all the time because your team doesn’t know HOW to get things done. Freedom!

Watch this video where I’ll share my approach for creating an Operations Playbook that is useful, usable and adapts to your evolving business.

Is your business built to SOAR™?

The other day a client said to me,

“Valeri, some days operating my business feels like I’m running in mud!”

That image stuck with me, and I thought about how true it is. Sometimes running your business can be a chore. If you are feeling frazzled and frustrated by your business, let’s make a change.

I believe you can design your business so it’s built to SOAR™. This means your business is:

Systematized – with the inner workings streamlined and documented so delegating is effortless.

Optimized – with all the operational details organized so everything runs efficiently.

Automated – with the right tech tools in place so the heavy lifting gets done 24/7.

Repeatable – with consistent best practices implemented so you feel in control.

Sounds dreamy doesn’t it?

Watch this video where I share my take on making this dream come true for you.

Here’s to building your efficient business!
