My secret formula to prioritizing your work

Prioritizing your work is as simple as ABC. Here are 3 simple steps to get you there.

Prioritizing your work

Step 1: Put all your tasks into the following ::

A = Business Critical :: These are the urgent things that often come up out of nowhere and whack you on the side of the head. These things pull you away from the priorities you had set for yourself. At the end of the day, you feel stressed and tired from putting out all those fires.

B = Business as Usual :: Remember those goals you set for yourself and your business? You know, the short- and long-term ones? These live here. It’s where you’re happiest. You feel balanced and in control of your workload.

C = Busy Work :: Trivial, time wasters live here. They often bring instant gratification (much like eating that chocolate bar), but aren’t a good use of time or brainpower. Typically, it’s the stuff you do when you’re procrastinating.

Step 2: Apply the secret formula ::

  • Spend 20% of your day on A tasks.
  • Spend 80% of your day on B tasks.
  • Spend 0% of your day on C tasks.

Step 3: Celebrate ::

Good times are ahead! Your tasks are prioritized. Get ready to boost your productivity and maximize your efficiency throughout the day.
