In grade three I broke a very important rule: I skipped a day of school. In my defense, I didn’t realize attendance was mandatory. I also didn’t go hang out in the mall. Being the rebel I was, my friend and I spent the day at a house she was house-sitting… and cleaned it. Yes, I was wild, even back then.
Now that I’m an adult, I appreciate how rules prevent chaos and provide structure in the world.
