I love springtime. After months of being cloaked in the darkness of shorter days and cold weather, it’s time to open the windows and let the fresh air inside. One word comes to mind when I think of spring … THRIVE.
Think about that word for minute. What does it mean to you? For me, it means to flourish, prosper and succeed.
Do you feel your business is ready to thrive after spending too long in the dark?
Here are five secret ingredients I use to help my clients to run a thriving business.
1. Use tech wisely
Before investing in a new tech tool or gadget, first determine your needs. Once you’re clear on the problem it will solve, take it for a test drive to make sure it’s easy to use and a good fit for your business.
2. Standardize documents
Create templates for documents and emails you send out regularly. This will cut down on time recreating the wheel and ensure your messaging is consistent.
3. Eliminate wasted time
Conduct a time audit for a week and track how you are spending your time. You’ll be able to pinpoint the leaks and be in a better position to make changes.
4. Explore how you’re attracting clients
Remember, 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. If most of your clients come from referrals, that’s where to direct your focus and energy. Spend time implementing systems in that area, such as creating a referral program or keeping in regular contact with your top referral partners.
5. Systematize routine tasks
Creating processes in your business, especially for repetitive tasks, makes good sense. When you outline and document how things are done, it eliminates “remembering” and makes it easier to delegate.
