Prioritize your TO DOs easily and efficiently

Do you struggle with making a decision on what to work on first in your day? Maybe you know what to work on, but it keeps slipping away because your inbox is full of emails from people who all want a piece of your precious attention.

Before you know it, you’ve just spent the first hour of your day working on someone else’s priority.

Let’s change that for you.

Let’s make sure you are focused on achieving your important work … not someone else’s. Let’s protect you from those pesky distractions that come in and hijack your day.

In this video I’ll share with you my system, that I use myself and with my clients, to make prioritizing your tasks easy, so you get the right things done.

My secret to getting more done

As the year draws to a close, you may be focusing on 2018 and what it means for your business. No doubt, you’ll see a lot of organizing supplies, planners and workshops on the market, all promising to help you prepare for the year ahead.

I like to take a practical approach to help you get your work accomplished. I’ve developed this system from years of experience giving productivity workshops and working 1:1 with my clients. My system is based on a three-step productivity formula called Focus First™.

In today’s video, I’ll show you the foundational first step of Focus First™ that you can take right now to give your productivity the boost it needs. Imagine starting 2018 with a fresh list of goals you know you will accomplish.

If you feel frazzled at the end of the day, or if you’re tired of having your priorities slip to the bottom of the list, then this video is for you.

P.S. After you watch, please hit return and let me know if you’ve heard of the game I mention in the video. I’m really interested.

The real reason you’re not getting your work done

Do you get to the end of your workday and are satisfied with all you’ve accomplished? If you’re like most busy business owners, the answer is likely No (at least most of the time).

You might find that you’re constantly putting out fires, being interrupted by your team or your clients, or spending way too much time in your inbox.

While it’s easy to place the blame on external factors that are pulling you away from your work, there is another way to look at it.

In this video, I’ll share with you the real culprit that is putting a damper on your productivity.

Once you’ve reframed the challenge, you’ll be able to address it and your efficiency will SOAR.

Most people don’t do this in their business

As a kid, my mother taught me to say “thank you” whenever someone did something nice for me. It could be as simple as having a door held open, or as personal as receiving a gift.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my mom recently. She passed away several years ago, and all the wonderful lessons I learned from her still resonate with me. The most important is showing gratitude.

This got me thinking about you, and how you give thanks to those who support you and your business.

With the hectic pace of running your business, having time to reflect rarely happens, yet it is essential to your overall state of mind and directly influences the people around you.

When you take time to give thanks, people notice and good things start to happen in mysterious ways. Plus, it makes you feel good inside.

So how do you create gratitude systems to ensure appreciation becomes a habit and a natural extension of your daily routine?

Watch this video where I share 3 things you can start doing right now, to show gratitude in your business.

What to do when your business gets off track

Imagine waking up to find your business has become your worst enemy.

Somehow it has become unrecognizable to you. The vision you had when you first started up has blurred and somehow things have gotten out of your control.

On the outside, it looks like it’s smooth sailing. Business has never been busier, heck you even have a waiting list! What could be wrong?

The thing is … it wasn’t what you ever wanted.

I recently had a conversation with a very busy business owner, who broke down in tears because she was falling out of love with the business she created. She was ready to give up everything because …

The business she had was not the business she ever wanted.

In this video I share three questions to ask yourself … no matter what stage of the business lifecycle you’re in … that will put you back on course.

How to make tracking your mileage less of a pain

One money task that always used to keep me guessing was logging my mileage. As a business owner who is always on the move, I have to track the mileage traveled so I can get reimbursed. Believe me, I love getting the money back … however, even that incentive didn’t always get me to stop procrastinating with this boring task.

Does this happen for you? Do you have a notebook in your car dedicated to writing in the details of your drive, but still forget to log it? Been there … done that too!

In today’s video I’m going to give you a tip that changed everything for me when it came to logging the details of my road trips. It has transformed a once tedious task into something that has become a habit … sort of like learning to drive a car!

Do this if you want to make money

Do you like to make money? I’m guessing your answer is a resounding YES!, especially if you’re an ambitious entrepreneur who wants to take your business to the next level.

If you felt a pang of embarrassment when you made this “admission,” not to worry … many of my clients (who are very successful) still feel uncomfortable talking about money. So let’s change the money conversation for you by first adjusting your money mindset.

And here’s the first step … give yourself permission to step away from the boring details of money management.

This simple truth took me a long time to figure out and it was a game changer in my business: Have the professionals look after the financials.

When you have professionals handling the details of your finances, you can keep your focus on what matters most in your business …. think forecasting, profitability and planning. I often review my services to see which are generating (or not generating) revenue so I can adjust and innovate as needed.

Your time and attention is better spent on the big picture than it is inputting your receipts and balancing your bank account

In the video I’ll share with you the 3 key people you need on your Money  Team … and I’ll also share 2 big secrets to make this team rock.

3 ways to deal with your inbox

If you’re like most people, you battle with your inbox on a daily basis. And, if you’re like most people, you haven’t won that battle … yet. Let’s change that for you.

Maybe you have hundreds or thousands of emails tucked away in your inbox. And on one level they are all tugging at your arm, beckoning for your attention. Sometimes it’s hard to resist their call. Especially when you are looking for a distraction to take you away from what you’re working on.

Next thing you know, you’re scrolling up and down looking for a quickie that you can open and delete. There is so much satisfaction and instant gratification that comes from dealing with an email in some fashion. (I get a rush every time I delete an email!)

Perhaps you like to play the open, close and mark as unread game. That’s a great time waster (but then you already knew that, right?).

In this video, I’ll show you 3 simple ways you can start managing your email so you can take back control of your inbox, your time and most importantly your focus.

What to do when your systems compromise your service

As you know, I’m a huge fan of using systems in your business to make it run more efficiently. However, as I recently experienced, sometimes systems can get in the way of service.

It’s important to always keep the customer in mind when you’re designing your systems. Otherwise, they’ll get lost in the shuffle. This often happens if you’re designing system with blinders on. That means you go through the steps but never really test the process with the end user.

In this video I’ll show you why this often-missed step is so important and what happened to me when it got missed.
